A Retired Director of Support Services at the University of Buffalo, Al S. Ryszka, passed away at the age of 92.

He was a graduate of Canisius High School and also received a bachelor's degree from Canisius College. He was also a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War and a recipient of the Good Conduct Medal and the National Defense Service Medal.

Al was the beloved husband of the late Ruth (nee Scanlon) Ryszka, who predeceased him in May 2004

The dearest father of Karen (late Daniel F.) Myszka, Susan (Steve Hulme) Ryszka and Marie (Rod) Billett and loving grandfather of Amanda (Steve) Zajac, Savanna Myszka, Tess Myszka, Daniel (Katie) Billett, Holly Billett, and Stephanie Hulme and a great-granddaughter Scottie.

Dear brother of Lorrie (late Nils) Gunnersen, Ellen (late Leonard) Wlodarczyk, Anne (late Thomas) Jacobs, and the late Rosemarie (late Ira) Starnes, and brother-in-law of Mary Jane (Tim) Riordan, James (Jane) Scanlon, and the late Dorothy Snyder and late Joan (late Matthew) Ferrentino; also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Burial at Western New York National Cemetery, located at 1254 Indian Falls Rd, Corfu, New York 14036 will be held on Friday, June 21, 2024 at 11 AM .
