A Food Service Specialist for the Buffalo Board of Education, at Southside Elementary School and South Park High School for over 20 years, the former Anne Marie Aquila, passed away suddenly at Buffalo Mercy Hospital at the age of 56. A loving Mother and the greatest "Cheezy Potato" maker, Anne Marie Holewka, enjoyed the beach, the Goo Goo Dolls, and most importantly being able to select the plants that her husband Mike, just had to plant in the family garden each year.

The cherished daughter of the late Helen (nee Pierro) and the late Carmen Aquila.

Anne Marie was the beloved wife and soulmate of her loving husband, Michael Holewka.

The devoted mother of Brittany (Joe Sza) Holewka and Zachary Holewka.

A dearest sister of Robert (Joan) Aquila, Patricia (Joseph) Scholl, Mary Ellen McDonald, Kathleen (late Richard) Radwan, Dennis (Jean) Aquila, Gary Michael (Annette) Aquila and the late Carmen (Rose) Aquila, and dear sister-in-law of Joseph Holewka.

She was also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family will be present on Thursday afternoon from 4-8 PM at the PIETSZAK FUNERAL HOME, 2400 William Street (near Harlem) where a funeral service will be held at 7 PM.
