Obituary
A retired Occupational Therapist Assistant, at the Buffalo Psychiatric Center, in Buffalo, New York, passed away at Roswell Park Cancer Institute, in Buffalo, New York, at the age of 69, after a challenging battle with Cancer. Annemarie started her health care career at the Cantalician Center, in Buffalo, New York and also worked at the J.N. Adam, Developmental Disabilities State Organization, in Perrysburg, as well as the Gowanda Psychiatric Center, in Gowanda, New York. She had a great love of Persons with Down's syndrome and taught them skills for many years.
Annemarie cared for their two African Grey Congo Parrots, nine Cats, and making sure that the hunters in the neighborhood did not shoot any of her Wild Turkeys which roamed her property. Annemarie also loved Gardening, caring for her plants, biking and her zest for walking 4 to 5 miles, each and every a day, which got her the local neighborhood title of "The Blond Walker", or the "Cat Lady" due to her love of Cats.
She was the soul mate and confidant of the love of her life, Justin Kopera.
The dearest daughter of the late Evelyn and late William West, Sr. and was predeceased by her brother William, Jr., and sisters Susan and Nancy.
Services were held privately.
