Anthony Francis Smardz was born on Friday, August 13, 1937 to Helen S. (nee Glica) and Stanley A. Smardz in Buffalo, New York.  Anthony lived a life marked by dedication and quiet strength, leaving behind a legacy cherished by those who knew him. Anthony proudly served his country as an Army Veteran, a testament to his commitment and patriotism. For many years, he applied his skill and diligence as a kiln operator at RA Miller Hardwoods in North Tonawanda, New York, a role he performed with unwavering reliability.

He was the dearest brother of Theodore (Nancy), Stanley Jr. (late Judith), Florian (Suzzanne), Michael (Helen) and Henry (Nancy) Smardz. Anthony is also survived by a loving extended family of many nieces, nephews, and cousins. His presence in their lives brought a unique blend of love and quiet reassurance.

Family and friends are invited to gather on Tuesday, January 27th from 2-4 PM at the PIETSZAK FUNERAL HOME, 2400 William Street, near Harlem Road where a funeral service will be held at 3:30 PM offering a time for remembrance and reflection.
