A retired Machinist with 30 years of service at Westinghouse Corp, in Cheektowaga, New York, Arthur U. Lariviere, Jr. passed away, at 88.  Art also served as a Corporal in the Army during the Korean war.

A gentle, private man, Art, could always get caught up in a good conversation concerning hunting or guns. The sport of hunting or fishing, which he was always willing to participate in, was at the top of his list of things to do.

He also enjoyed gardening, watching TV, especially the Travel Channel, or panning for gold, but most important was his "Yankees." In fact, it could be said that he was the Best "Armchair Coach" the Yankees ever had.

He was married to his best friend and the love of his life, his beloved wife of 65 years, Pearl (nee Cieslak) Lariviere.

Art was the devoted father of Arthur "Artie" (Michele) Lariviere and Cynthia Kolbert and loving grandfather of Nicole (Fiancé-Greg Skilinski), Arthur "AJ" (Tiara Bender) Lariviere, Kyle (Adrianna Brown) Kolbert, and Samantha (Garrett Stevenson) Kolbert.

The cherished son of the late Maryanna (nee Wisniewski) Lariviere and the late Arthur U. Lariviere, Sr.

A dearest brother of Joe (Lois) Lariviere, of Sardinia, Paul (Denise) Lariviere, of Williamsport, PA, Rita Lariviere of Freedom, Christine Dryden of Freedom, and late Dorothy (William) McGee, of Arcade and also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Services will be held privately by the family.
