Services will now be held on Saturday, May 8th, 2021, at 10 AM.

Relatives and friends are invited to assemble for a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Bernard Parish (1990 Clinton Street, Buffalo, NY 14206) Saturday, May 8th, 2021 at 10 AM.

A retired Clerk-Typist for the Town of Cheektowaga, Beatrice "Bea" Nina Szymkowiak, passed away at Buffalo General Hospital, in Buffalo, New York, at the age of 87. Bea worked for the Town of Cheektowaga for over 16 years after completing over 25 years with the Cheektowaga - Sloan School District. She served as a past president of the Cheektowaga-Sloan PTA Association, a member of the Cheektowaga-Sloan Seniors Group from St. Josaphat's Parish,  a local representative of the Erie County Board of Election for most of her life, and a Board Member of William Street Taxpayers Community Organization.

Bea also know as "Noni" to her grand and great-grandchildren, was famous for her "Noni Cookies" (Pizzelle's) which she made for every occasion. She was dubbed the "Pizzelle Queen" by her friends and family.  Bea was also a devout Buffalo Bills Fan and was the best "Armchair Coach" the Buffalo Bills ever had.

Beatrice was predeceased by her best friend and "love of her life" her beloved husband, the late Frank Szymkowiak.

She was the devoted mother of Kim (Lawrence) Godzich, Dean (Dawn) Szymkowiak, Gary (Nancy) Szymkowiak, Lisa (Jeffrey) Kujawa, and Suzie (David) Wojciechowski.

The cherished grandmother of Amie Zimmer, Eric (Amy) Godzich, Alex (Samantha) Godzich, Robert Szymkowiak, Caitlin (Ryan) Ruszczyk, Deanna (Alex) Pilarski, Dana Szymkowiak, Chad Kujawa, Randy Szymkowiak, Danielle Szymkowiak, Derek Wojciechowski and Dylan Wojciechowski and great-grandmother of Addison Zimmer, Zoe Zimmer, Oliver Szymkowiak, Brayden Godzich, McKenna Godzich, Elliott Szymkowiak, Blakley Pilarski, Leah Ruszczyk, Hudson Pilarski and Brodie Ruszczyk.

A loving daughter of the late Asunda "Susan" (nee Grosso) Colello and the late Erasmo Colello.

The sister of Susan (William) Goeckel and the late Eleanore "Lee" (late Charles "Chuck") Siuta, late Florence Colello, and the late Joanne (Papa John) Piniewski and sister-in-law of Tony (Nancy) Szymkowiak.

Bea was also survived by her beloved best friend Carol D'Orazio as well as many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to assemble for a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Bernard Parish (1990 Clinton Street) Saturday, May 8th, 2021 at 10 AM.
