Obituary

Brian E. Brothman, a dedicated caregiver at St Mary School for the Deaf, passed away on May 15, 2026. Born on January 15, 1952 to Esther and Harry Brothman in Buffalo, Brian devoted much of his life to supporting others, embodying the true spirit of care and empathy throughout his career.

Brian was a beloved husband to the late Nancy (nee Hluchyj) Brothman. He was also a devoted father to his daughter, Annastasia (Dustin Burley) Brothman. His family extended to his dear sister, Rhonda Schwarzberg, and many other family members and friends.

Throughout his life, Brian's commitment to others and his steadfast presence in the lives of those he loved were evident. His work at St Mary School for the Deaf spoke volumes about his character—always patient, always understanding, always present.

Join us as we celebrate the life of a truly remarkable individual, Brian Brothman, with an afternoon of delicious food, heartwarming company, music and cherished memories, all in the spirit that would have filled his heart with joy. We will gather at Chestnut Ridge Park, pavilion #5, 6121 Chestnut Ridge Road | Orchard Park, NY 14127 on Friday, August 8th at 2pm. A selection of burgers, hotdogs, a few sides and beverages will be provided. You are welcome to bring a dish to share. All are invited.
