Born on January 20, 1942, to Florence and Louis Zybczynski. Throughout her life, Carol dedicated herself to her family and her work. She served as a Clerk with the Boy Scouts of America, where her passion for service made a meaningful impact on those around her. Her commitment to supporting and guiding youth reflected the kindness and generosity that defined her life.

Carol is reunited with her beloved husband, Robert Funk Sr.; her parents, Florence and Louis Zybczynski; her sister, Joan (late James) Ladowski; and her brother, Daniel (Pat) Zybczynski.

She was a devoted mother to Kevin Getz, Nadine (Vincent) Ostrowski, Robert Jr. (Julie) Funk, Lynnmarie Funk, and Joseph Funk. Carol was a loving grandmother who shared countless joyful moments with Ashley (Carl Balz) Ostrowski, Alex (Allison Lewandowski) Ostrowski, Zach, Tina (Derrick), Amanda, Briana, Joey, and Megan. She was also a proud great-grandmother of two, whose presence brought her great joy and warmth to family gatherings.

Carol’s legacy also lives on through her many surviving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will fondly remember the love and kindness she shared with them.

Family and friends are invited to gather on Thursday, March 12, 2026, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Pietszak Funeral Home, 2400 William Street, Cheektowaga, NY. Services will be held at 6:30 PM.
