Jarmusz, Jr.
December 15, 1934 – November 3, 2022
A retired Steel Worker at Bethlehem Steel Co, after over 30 years of service, Chester T. Jarmusz, Jr., passed away at the Buffalo Veterans Administration Medical Center, at the age of 87.
During the Korean War, he served as an Airman 2nd Class in the US Air Force, at the 8th Tac Hospital, at Paris Air Force Base, in California, and while in Korea, he also had the pleasure of playing the Accordion and performing with Elvis. Chester a lifelong musician, also played with the Blue Coats and the Mello Tones and also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren going camping, and gardening his famous sought after Tomatoes.
He was the beloved husband of 47 years to the late Patricia (nee Kowalczewski) Jarmusz and 17 years to the late Patricia (nee Guzzo) Jarmusz.
The devoted father of Gregory (Kathleen) Jarmusz, Sr., Jerome (Sharon) Jarmusz Sr., Stephen (Cherrie) Jarmusz, David (Ken) Jarmusz, Mark (Dawn) Jarmusz, Karen (John) Toomey, Mary (Patrick) Pfalzer, Michele (Robert) Bradley, Kenneth (Cindy) Jarmusz and the late Edward (Elizabeth) Jarmusz and step-father of John, Rosella, and Patricia.
A loving grandfather of twenty-one and great-grandfather of twenty-seven.
The fond son of the late Stephanie (nee Sarna) and late Chester Jarmuz and dear brother of Frank (late Frieda) Jarmusz, Thomas (late Linda) Jarmuz, and the late Joseph (late Ann) Jarmusz.
He was also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family will be present on Sunday, November 6th, 2022, from 4 to 6:30 PM at the PIETSZAK FUNERAL HOME, 2400 William Street (near Harlem) where a funeral service will follow visitation at 6:30 PM.
