Daniel Edward was born on Saturday, March 31, 1934 to Mary (nee Holtyn) and Walter Ratka in Buffalo, New York.
Daniel was the beloved husband of late Santa K. (nee Siracuse).
Dear father of Daniel P. (Barbara) Ratka, William (JoAnn) Ratka and Mary Ann (Collins) Jaskowiak.
The loving grandfather of Kathryn M. (Scott) Mackmin, Daniel J. Ratka, Emily E. Ratka, Kelcie Ratka, Lindsay Ratka, Jessica (Michael) Strychalski and Andrew Jaskowiak and fond great-grandfather of Quinn Mackmin, Moira Mackmin, Carson Strychalski, Cole Strychalski and Marli Strychalski.
Dear brother of Alice (late Leonard) Skibinski, James (Mary Jane) Ratka, late Robert (late Ann) Ratka and late Harry Ratka.
He is also survived by nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins.
Family will be present on Thursday, February 6th, from 3-7 PM at the PIETSZAK FUNERAL HOME, 2400 William St., near Harlem Road.
Relatives and friends are invited to assemble for a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Katharine Drexel Parish, 135 North Ogden Street on Friday at 10 AM. Please assemble at the Church.
Entombment will take place at a later date at Mount Calvary Cemetery, Cheektowaga, New York.
In lieu of Flowers, memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association .
