The former Darlene Girard passed away at Hospice Buffalo, in Cheektowaga, New York, after a 2 year fight with Cancer. She was a Developmental Aid and Direct Care Staff member at the Western New York Developmental Center, in West Seneca, NY, for over 23 years, before transferring to work as a Personal Home Health Care Aide with Aftercare Nursing Services, of Cheektowaga, NY.

Darlene enjoyed Motorcycling and was a 25 year Member of the Regent Riders Motorcycle Club, as well as Volunteering at the Frank J. Gierlach, American Legion Post No.1320, where her husband Edward, serves as Chaplain.

Darlene was the beloved wife of Edward M. Michalski Sr. and the devoted mother of Edward L. Michalski Jr. and Marijane (Abid) Ali.

She was the loving grandmother of Alec Michalski, Crystal Edwards, Amanda Lynn Lore and Tarek Ali and great grandmother of Lexi, Carson and Cecilia. The dear sister of Ray "Butch" Girard and the late Robert (Cookie) Girard and step-sister of Barbara Canning.

Family will be present on Wednesday from 4- 8 PM at the PIETSZAK FUNERAL HOME, 2400 William St. (near Harlem).

Relatives and friends are invited to assemble at St. Andrew's Church, located at Crocker at Reiman Streets, in Sloan, for a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday at 10 AM.

Interment will follow at St. Matthew's Cemetery, in West Seneca, New York.
