David W.
Bollman
June 30, 1953 – May 4, 2021
A Corporal in the United States Marines, during the Vietnam War and retired Auto & Truck Mechanic, David W. Bollman, passed away at Buffalo General Hospital, in Buffalo, New York, at the age of 67.
A Patriotic volunteer helping the Veterans whenever he could, David was a member of Project Healing Waters and Trout Unlimited, which are fly fishing clubs that conduct programs at the VA facilities across the region that teaches Veterans how to Tie Flys and would take veterans fishing, especially the Disabled Veterans.
He also enjoyed spending quality time with his grandchildren by going camping, fishing, and joining them in their many activities. In his spare time, he honed his skills in woodworking, gardening, and also his love of cooking. He will be best remembered for his "Dave McMuffins," a hit with the camping crowd, and his famous and sought-after Spaghetti and BBQ Sauces.
He was married for 44 years, to his Best Friend and the Love of his Life, his beloved wife, Karen (nee Graber) Bollman.
David was the devoted father of Wesley (Melissa) Bollman, Natalie (Michael) Wolowski, and Bryan (Carol) Bollman and proud and loving grandfather of Matthew, Lukas, Alivia, Ethan, Cienna, Rose, Bryan & Andrew.
Born on Tuesday, June 30, 1953, he was the cherished son of the late Helena (nee Foor) Bollman and the late Melvin Bollman, Sr. and dearest brother of Shirley Fani, Melvin Bollman, Jr., Gloria Gates, and late Joyce (Larry) McCoy; He was also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family will be present for visitation on Thursday, May 6, 2021, from 4-8 PM at the PIETSZAK FUNERAL HOME, 2400 William Street (near Harlem), in Cheektowaga, New York.
Relatives and friends are also invited to attend a Celebration of Life Service which will be held at the Funeral Home on Friday, May 7, 2021, at 10 AM.
Interment with graveside Military Honors will follow at St. Matthew's Cemetery, in West Seneca, New York.
Face coverings and social distancing will be required at all times during Mr. Bollman's services. Current capacity restrictions may cause delayed entry.
