IN LOVING MEMORY OF
David "Moe"
Golebiewski
March 26, 1954 – May 6, 2022
A retired Lifter with the City of Buffalo Street Sanitation Division for over 40 years, David "Moe" Golebiewski, passed away at the age of 68.
David better known to his friends as "Moe", was the owner of several quarter horses over the years and enjoyed racing and caring for them. He enjoyed sports of any type and was always very Lucky with all his endeavors. He had a great sense of humor, and his personality never changed no matter what hand he was dealt, and nothing ever took him down. He was referred to as the Mayor of Fredro Street by many of his neighbors. He never drove a Car but biked everywhere. He enjoyed his wife Denise's cooking, especially Spaghetti or Eggs but every Friday he had to eat Fish. He was always superstitious in his ways so it is befitting that his Celebration of Life will be on a "Friday the 13th."
David was married for over 10 years to his best friend and the love of his life, his beloved wife Denise (nee Iozzia) Golebiewski, and he was also the devoted step-father of Matthew Brant, Joshua (Jackie) Brant, and Ashley Brant. Moe also enjoyed spending time with his loving step-grandchildren Aaden Brant, Parker Brant, Makenzie Brant, Aubrey Brant, and Natalie Brant.
The cherished son of the late Dorothy (nee Szczepankiewicz) and late John Golebiewski.
Dearest brother-in-law of Annette Calandra and the brother of Dennis (Marlene) Golebiewski and Donna (Chet) Banach. He was also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family will be present on Friday, May, 13th, 2022 from 3-7 PM at the Pietszak Funeral Home, 2400 William Street, (near Harlem.)
A Celebration of Moe's life will be held following the gathering at 6:30 PM.
Donations in David's memory are preferred to the Erie County SPCA.
