A disabled Sheet Metal Fabricator and US Navy Veteran, David better known as "Dayv" Blachura, took his "Stairway to Heaven" after a long illness, at the age of 68. A loving Companion, Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother and Friend to many was a Great Musician and Lead Guitarist for "Gravis " and several other bands throughout the Western New York area. He was the dearest friend to his beloved "Jack", as well as a devoted Led Zeppelin and Godzilla Flixs follower.

He was the cherished husband of Diane (nee LaPrell) Blachura, father of Nicole (Jon) Jablonski and fond grandfather of Kirsten Krug.

David was also survived by his sister Lynn (Wayne) Less, and brothers Alan Blachura and Robert (Susan) Blachura and brother-in-law of Joseph (Bonnie) LaPrell, and by nieces, nephews, and many friends.

The family will be present on Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the PIETSZAK FUNERAL HOME, 2400 William St. (near Harlem) where services will be held on Tuesday morning at 8:45 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Bernard Church, located at Clinton at South Ogden Sts. at 9:30 AM.

Burial with Military Honors will follow at St. Matthew's Cemetery, in West Seneca, New York.
