Obituary

A retired salesman at Frito Lay, in Williamsville, New York, with over 35 years of service, David J. Witkowski, passed away at the Buffalo VA Medical Center, in Buffalo, New York, at the age of 76, after a long fight with Agent Orange.

David, better known as "Frito" to his family and friends, was an avid hunter and fisherman. He specialized in the renovation and cleaning of "Mitchell Reels" and was also a collector of antique fishing reels and lures. David trained German Shorthair Pointers for hunting and also trained a National Field Champion named "Jedi". He enjoyed going to car shows and attending Nascar races and was also a devout Red Sox fan.

He was also an Army veteran of the Vietnam War.

The beloved husband of Donna (nee Wesolek) Witkowski, devoted father of Dean (Rachel Wright-Fiancée) Witkowski, and loving grandfather of Ryan Witkowski and Hayden Witkowski.

Born on Monday, April 22, 1946, the loving son of the late Sally (nee Glowko) Witkowski and late Julius Witkowski he was the dearest brother of Ronald (Lauri) Witkowski and brother-in-law of Michael (Charlene) Wesolek. He was also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Relatives and friends are invited to assemble for a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Andrew's Parish (Crocker & Reiman Sts.) Friday. June 24, 2022, at 11:00 AM.
