Diane M. Wawrowicz's Obituary
A retired nursing assistant at Sisters of Charity St. Joseph Campus, the former Diane Pyrkos, passed away peacefully after a long illness, with her family at her side. She was 65.
She was the beloved wife of the late Edward M. Wawrowicz, who pre-deceased her in 2008.
Diane was the devoted mother of Kimberly (Robert Stahl) Wawrowicz, Tammy (Scott) Kessner, Sherry Wawrowicz, Timothy (Moncheri Stone) Wawrowicz, Andrew (Jill Zielkiewicz) Wawrowicz and Matthew Wawrowicz.
The loving grandmother of Ashley (Jason) Longo, Deanna, Devan, Isabella, Kiyana, Kelina, Teresa, Annabella, Maxim, Brandon, Camorrea, Courtney, Jacob, Matthew and Joshua.
She was the dearest sister of Frank (Vivian) Pyrkos, Debra Volk and the late Timothy Pyrkos and late Stephen (Laura) Pyrkos and sister-in-law of Lydia Ziegler, Rita Sill and life long friend of Dottie Gryczkowski. She was also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Family will be present to receive friends on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the PIETSZAK FUNERAL HOME, 2400 William St. (near Harlem).
Relatives and friends are invited to assemble for a Mass of Christian Burial at Queen of Martyrs Church, located at 180 George Urban Blvd, in Cheektowaga, New York, on Thursday at 9 AM.
