At the age of 99, Dorothy A. Kolis passed away peacefully at Garden Gate Health Care Facility, in Cheektowaga, New York, on Tuesday, July 27, 2021.  On Monday, January 9, 1922, she was born to the late Pauline (nee Malczewski) Koszuta and Frank Koszuta, in Buffalo, New York.

In her younger years, she was a cone threader at Duffy Silk Mill, on North Hampton Street, in Buffalo, New York. Dorothy was a very religious orientated person and she was a member of the St. Josaphat's Seniors, Legion of Mary, Martha Washington Club.

She also enjoyed Bingo and card games with family and friends and was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW Fulara Bros. Post No 4734 for many years.

Whenever she was going somewhere, she was always asked to bring one of her famous desserts. Dorothy made the best Placzek and Cheesecakes.

Dorothy was the beloved wife of the late Leopold "Leo" Kolis, who passed away in 2011.

The dearest sister of Daniel (Sylvia) Koszuta, late Mary (late Edward) Kane, late Gertrude (late Chester) Politowski, late Laura (late Leo) Tabone, late Harry (late Celia) Koszuta, late Mildred (late John) Wloch, and late Robert (Elaine) Koszuta, and also survived by sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, and nephews.

The family will be present for visitation on Friday, July 30th from 5-7 PM at the PIETSZAK FUNERAL HOME, 2400 William Street, near Harlem Road.

Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Josaphat Parish, located on the corner of William Street at Peoria, on Saturday at 9 AM. Please assemble at the church.

Burial will follow at St. Matthew's Cemetery in West Seneca, New York.
