A Korean War Army Veteran passed away at St. Catherine Labouré Health Care Center, in Buffalo, New York at the age of 89.

An Airplane parts designer and plant carpenter at the Curtiss-Wright Corporation for over 47 years, Edmund W. Chmielewski, enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren after his retirement. He also passed the time away playing Horseshoes, Pool, and being able to stop for an occasional drink, with family and friends at the local watering holes.

He was the beloved husband of late Lorraine (nee Ziolkowski) Chmielewski who predeceased him.

The devoted father of Deborah Chmielewski, Sandra (Kenneth) Radecki and John Chmielewski, loving grandfather of Todd Borkowski, Stacy Radecki, the late Renae (Mark) Miller and fond great-grandfather of Marcus, Jayden, and Carter.

Edmund was the dearest brother of Lottie (late Frank) Debecker, the late Isabell (late Leonard) Schultz, late Jennie (late Stanley) Sikorski and the late Ollie Chmielewski. He was also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Services were held privately by the family.
