Edward was born on Friday June 4, 1948 to Emily (nee Bingham) and Edward J. Sankey, Sr.
Reunited with his loving wife Marilyn J. (nee Goulding) who passed on August 1, 2012.
He was a devoted father to Lynda (Obdulio Coton) Kaczynski, Karyn (John) Szafarski, Regyna (Bill) Waterhouse, Edward J. Sankey III, and Michelle (John) Appenheimer. His role as a grandfather brought him immense joy, as he cherished Emily (Chris Dudkowski) Kaczynski, Andrew Kaczynski, Sara (Carolyn) Wolfram, Jonathan (Amber DiChristina) Szafarski, Steven Taberski, Abigail (Robbie Getz) Taberski, Rayleen (Brandon Rath) Sankey, Edward J. Sankey VI, Riley Wyatt, Isabella Danahey, Marilyn Danahey, Samantha (Michael Scime) Appenheimer, Stephanie Appenheimer, and Gina (fiancé Mack Baker) Appenheimer.
Edward was the dear brother of Janice (late Ceil Wheaton) Sankey, Marilyn (late Dick) Wackenheim, and Chris (Walter) Pecherzewski, and was preceded in death by his sisters Joyce (late Bob) Beaver, and Lois (late Bob) Vassar. He is also remembered fondly by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Family will be present on Wednesday, January 14th from 3-8 PM at the PIETSZAK FUNERAL HOME, 2400 William Street, near Harlem Road.
Family and Relatives are welcome to join for Edward's Funeral Service at Forest Lawn Cemetery on Thursday, January 15th at 10 AM. Please assemble at the Delaware Gate of Forest Lawn Cemetery.
He will be missed dearly by all who knew him, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and dedication to his family. Let us remember him for the warmth he shared with those around him and the cherished moments spent together. His family and loved ones will forever hold him in their hearts.
