Edward D. Schroeder, born on August 27, 1962, in Buffalo, NY, passed away on February 13, 2026. Edward’s life was characterized by a dedication to family, service, and a passion for his career as a Senior Line Technician for Prior Aviation Service in Cheektowaga, New York.

A proud veteran of the US Navy, Edward exemplified commitment and duty throughout his life. He was a devoted father to his three children: Steven, Thomas, and Candace, who were the light of his life. Edward also cherished his role as a loving brother to Gail Schroeder and Diane (late Preston) D'Amico. His family extended to being a cherished uncle to Paul (Lori) and Sean (Lindsay), and he took great joy in being a dear great-uncle to Aiden, Isla, Delaney, and Kelsey.

He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Lorraine (nee Kozlowski) and Edward C. Schroeder. Edward's legacy is found in the love he fostered within his family and the friendships he nurtured throughout his life.

Family and friends will gather on Monday, February 16, 2026, from 3 PM to 6 PM at Pietszak Funeral Home, 2400 William St., Cheektowaga, NY.

Edward's burial will take place at St. Stanislaus Cemetery, 700 Pine Ridge Heritage Boulevard on Tuesday, February 17th, at 1 PM, where Edward will be laid to rest with Military Honors. Please assemble at the Office. 

Edward D. Schroeder will be remembered for his unwavering love for his family, his dedication to his work, and the kind spirit he shared with all who knew him. His presence will be deeply missed.
