At the age of 87, Edwin was a US Army Veteran who served during the Korean War.
Edwin retired from Gohr Distributing in Buffalo, NY where he worked as a Beer Plumber.
A Loving son of the late Anna (nee Platzak) and Franciscus Yanik.
Beloved husband of the late of Theresa A. (nee Manzella) Yanik.
Devoted father of Joseph (Judy) Yanik, Edwin A. Yanik, Yvonne (Steve) Clark, Michele Zak and Milissa (Eric) Voigt.
Loving grandfather of Teresa (Lucas) Styers, Beth (Joe) Thurston, Emily Yanik, Amanda (Randall) Spence, Christopher Zak, Nicole (Zachery) Ziolkowski, Hannah Voigt and Amelia Voigt.
Fond great-grandfather of Thomas, Henry, Emily, Riley, Gavin, Addison and Leo.
Edwin is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Family will be present Monday 4-8 PM at the PIETSZAK FUNERAL HOME, 2400 William St. (near Harlem) where services will be held Tuesday at 8:30 AM and at St. Josaphat Parish at 9 AM .
Face coverings and social distancing will be required at all times during services.
Edwin was a member of the Teamsters Union. Edwin served as a Eucharistic Minister and Altar Server at St. Josaphat Parish and Queen of Peace Church.
