The former Elizabeth L. Tobolski, a Baker for over 15 years at Wegmans, on Dick Road, in Cheektowaga, New York, passed away at Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital, in Amherst, New York, at the age of 72. Prior to working at Wegmans, Elizabeth did transcription work on medical records for Lifetime Medical Group, in Cheektowaga, New York.

Better known as "Betsy" Mowry to many, she was just a Chocoholic, that specialized in Cooking Polish Cuisine, especially Pierogi, Cakes, and Cookies. She was the Hub of Life in the whole family and the originator of "Pierogi Craft Day" where family and friends got together to make Pierogi all morning and then make crafts all afternoon. It was a very special day on many a Calendar!

When Betsy wasn't in the kitchen cooking, she was at the Casino, playing the Slots or working on her Scratch Off collection. Trying to add her winning funds to her Christmas Fund account, so that she could spoil the family with Christmas gifts.

Betsy was married to her best friend, soul mate, and the love of her life, her beloved husband, Russell G. Mowry.

The devoted mother of Eric (Becky) Mowry, Alicia (Christopher) Lepine, and Adam Mowry and loving "Babcia" of Shannon Mowry and Mark Lepine.

Elizabeth was the cherished daughter of the late Alice (nee Marcinkiewicz) Tobolski and late Joseph Tobolski and dearest sister of Michael (Roseann) Tobolski.

She was also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather for a Celebration of Elizabeth's Life at the PIETSZAK FUNERAL HOME, 2400 William (near Harlem) on  Saturday from 4-7 PM where a funeral service will follow at 7 PM.

Face coverings and social distancing will be required at all times during Mrs. Mowry's services. Current capacity restrictions may cause delayed entry.
