Obituary

A retired Cost Accountant at Russer and Tyson Foods for over 40 years, Eugene H. Awarski, passed away at Buffalo Mercy Hospital, at the age of 74.

A veteran of the US Navy, Eugene, was a devoted family man, a former Boy Scout leader of Troop 128 at St. Bernard Parish, and a Competitive Bar-B-Que Chef who made the best ribs in Cheektowaga. He also loved following sports teams, especially the Bills and the Sabers.

Eugene was married to his best friend and the love of his life, his beloved wife, Annette (nee Skierczynski) Awarski.

He was the devoted father of Brian Awarski and the late Gregory Awarski and the loving brother of Christine (Michael) Sisson.

He was also survived by a sister-in-law Karen (late Peter) Carney, brother-in-law Mark (Karen) Skierczynski, and nieces and nephews.

The family will be present on Friday, November 4th, 2022, from 2-4 and 6-8 at the PIETSZAK FUNERAL HOME, 2400 William Street (near Harlem).

Relatives and friends are invited to assemble for a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Josaphat Parish, located at William & Peoria Avenue on Saturday, November 5th, 2022 at 10 AM, with Military Honors.

Burial at St. Matthew's Cemetery, in West Seneca, New York will take place at a later date.
