At the age of 89, the former Florence C. Roman, passed away after a long illness, in Buffalo General Hospital.

She was a former member of the Legion of Mary and Parish Council at St. Josaphat Parish, in Cheektowaga, New York.

Florence was the beloved wife of the late Victor S. Kowal, who predeceased her on, March 15, 1993.

She was the devoted mother of Paul (Kathy) Kowal, John (Jay) Kowal, Karen (Paul) Szafran, Richard (James Hahn) Kowal, Maria (Roman) Teluk and the late David (late Claire) Kowal and late Jody Kowal and loving grandmother of Michael (Cristina) Kowal, Dennis Kowal, Peter (Angela) Szafran,  Kelly (Steve) Czubinski, Mark (Cassie) Kowal, Daniel Szafran, Jennifer (Matthew) Laxton, Steven (Brieanna) Szafran, Victoria (David) Chmielowiec and Christopher Teluk;

The cherished great grandmother of Isabella, Juliana, Gabriel, Anya Florence, Eva, Scarlett, Paul, Charlotte and Aurora.

Dearest sister of Joe (late Mary) Roman, Victoria (late Raymond) Jarnot and the late Anna (late Joseph) Kubek, late Helen (late Joseph) Szczepanik, late Mary (late Albin) Widomski, late Emily (late William) Stachura, late Steven (Norma) Roman and late Peter Roman. Sister-in-law of Eleanore (late Richard) Gorney and the late Ceil (late Norbert) Mazurkiewicz and also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Family will be present on Sunday from 5 to 9 PM at the PIETSZAK FUNERAL HOME, 2400 William St. (near Harlem) where services will be held Monday at 9 AM. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Josaphat Parish, William at Peoria Sts, in Cheektowaga, NY at 9:30 AM.

Interment will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Cheektowaga, New York.
