November 21, 1920 – December 13, 2012
Frank was 92 and the beloved husband of late Molly (nee Gorej) Kolniak, who predeceased him in 2007. After retiring, they lived in Lake Worth, Florida, for many years.
The devoted father of Kenneth (Maryann) Kolniak, Thomas (Therese) Kolniak and Michele (Paul) Walter.
Loving grandfather of Tamerine (Steven) Tarnish, Tara (Daniel) Hudson, Jillian (Eric) Wittenbach, Tiffany, Gabrielle, Melanie, William and great grandfather of Nathan, Kailyn and Hazel;
He was the dearest brother of Estelle (Joe) Notini, Stanley (Julia) Kolniak and was predeceased by four sisters and two brothers. The brother-in-law of Dolores Kolniak and Irene Nowak, he was also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Family will be present Sunday 4-8 PM at the PIETSZAK FUNERAL HOME, 2400 William St. (near Harlem).
Relatives and friends are invited to assemble for a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Gregory the Great Church (200 St. Gregory Court, Williamsville, 14221) Monday at 9 AM.
Frank along with his wife the late Molly, were the Owners and Operators of Kolniak's Liquor Store, on William Street, in Buffalo.
He was a former resident of Sloan, NY and a Navy Veteran of World War II, serving as a Radioman First Class. A member of the American Legion Frank L. Gierlach Post 1320 of Sloan, NY and the Knights of Columbus, Father Justin Council No. 5670 of Cheektowaga, NY.
