A lifelong member of Doyle Volunteer Hose Co. #2, Frank Wilczak, passed away after a long illness, at the age of 83. He served in the US Army from December 12, 1957, to December 10, 1959, with the 24th Infantry Division. A General Motors employee, till retiring in 1997, he had worked on the Assembly line as a Laborer, as well as in the Paint Shop and Parts Department.
Frank was also a Member of Central Council, the Western and Southwestern Fire Organizations, Firemen's Association of the State of New York (FASNY), Fireman's Memorial Exhibit Center, Buffalo Fire Historical Society, and Polish Genealogical Society.
Frank was the beloved husband of Dorothy (nee Grzedzicki) Wilczak with whom he celebrated their 56th Wedding Anniversary this past September 22, 2018.
The devoted father of Denise Wilczak, Francine (Todd Weiss) Wilczak, Jaime (Kevin) Baldwin and Amy (Mark) Nies and loving grandfather of Jackson Nies, Xavier Baldwin and Tristan Baldwin.
He was the dearest son of the late Helen (nee Wilczak) Szkotnicki, who recently passed away at the age of 100.
A dearest brother-in-law of Lorrie (John) Hunt and fond uncle of John (Christine) Hunt, Jr., Kim Hunt, Tiffany (Noel) Zimny and Jeffrey (Robert) Hunt, Sr. and also survived by great nieces, great nephews, and cousins.
The family will be present on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-9 PM at the PIETSZAK FUNERAL HOME, 2400 William St. (near Harlem) where services will be held on Thursday morning at 8:45 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Czestochowa Church,

Interment will follow with Military Honors at St. Matthew's Cemetery, in West Seneca, New York.
