Franklin "Frank"
G. Salvo
October 11, 1948 – January 4, 2021
A retired Supervisor for the City of Buffalo Parks Department, Franklin G. Salvo, passed away at the New York State Veterans' Home at Batavia, in Batavia, New York, at the age of 72.
A US Army veteran of the Vietnam War, Frank enjoyed playing Little League Baseball and then Bar League baseball for several years. During those years he was the Best Armchair Manager of his favorite team, The Yankees.
Frank was predeceased by the love of his life, his late beloved wife Donna (nee Grzebielucha) Salvo, who passed away in March of 2016.
A devoted father of the late Jeffrey Paul Salvo, who passed away in February of 2014.
He was the cherished son of the late Angeline (nee Sartori) Salvo and the late Guy Salvo.
The loving brother of Joanne M. Salvo and dear brother-in-law of Don (Pam) Grzebielucha and Mary Ann (Wayne) Hughes.
He was also survived by nieces and nephews.
As per Frank's wishes, his remains were donated to the University of Buffalo Medical School.
Out of concern for the Coronavirus pandemic, the family is not planning any service at this time. However, they look forward to celebrating Frank's life with extended family members and all his friends at a later date. Please check back for further updates.
