Gerard J. was born on Tuesday, May 19, 1936 to Mary and Joseph Kapuscinski in Buffalo, New York.  He was a supervisor for Bells Supermarket in Buffalo, New York.

Gerard was the beloved husband of Mary (nee Gogan).

Devoted father of Deborah (Carl) Lowry, Robert (Becky) Kapuscinski, Ellen (Bruce) Schwertfeger, Gerard (Julie) Kapuscinski, Jr., Barbara (Michael) Hahn and the late Jeanne Burns.

Loving grandfather of Matthew, April, Catherine, Carrie, Robert Jr., Bruce Jr., Cory, Alex, William Jr., Keith, Ryan, Chelsey, Steven, Lucas and Katelyn and fond great-grandfather of 12.

Dearest brother of Marilyn (Jim) Peiffer, Joanne (Bob) Gamble and the late Frank Kapuscinski.  Dear brother-in-law of James (Harlene) Gogan, the late John (Marylou) Gogan and late Joan Coughlin.

He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Celebration of Gerard's Life will take place at the PIETSZAK FUNERAL HOME, 2400 William St., near Harlem Rd. on Thursday, October 17th from 1 - 3 PM, where a service will take place at 2:30 PM.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Sloan Comfort House where Gerard received the utmost Love and Care.
