A retired Director of Technology, for 47 years at Service Systems / Marriott / Sodexho, in Buffalo New York, Gloria M. Kotowski, passed away at Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital, in Amherst, New York, at the age of 83.
Gloria is better known as "Auntie GaGa" to family and friends and enjoyed showing her love of Hospitality, both at work and at home. You were always welcome at her home for any Family Occasion or Holiday, to enjoy the outpouring of her hospitality. She always made everyone, even a stranger or someone's girlfriend or boyfriend part of the family. There was always an extra plate in case someone would bring a friend. She enjoyed preparing her Polish delicacies for all to enjoy, as well as her highly sought-after, Pancakes and Strawberries, or her special Brussel Sprouts! She could also be found enjoying her retirement playing the Poker Slots at one of the area's Casinos or just out visiting with family or friends.
Gloria was married to her best friend, her beloved husband the late Thaddeus H. Kotowski, who predeceased her on April 12, 2005.
Born on Wednesday, May 4th, 1938, she was the devoted daughter of the late Lloyd Tryon and late Helen (nee Okonczak) Tryon.
A dearest sister of Dolores (late Leonard) Krajnik, Alan Tryon (late Sue Dickson), and the late Caroline Greentaner.
The step-mother of Julie Ann (Tib) Conklin and LuAnne (Joe) Polak, step-grandmother of Amy (Martin) Polowy and Michael (Ranee) Przewozny, and step-great-grandmother of Lexi, Ella, Gavin, and Elizabeth.
Gloria was Auntie GaGa to her many nieces and nephews who she loved dearly and is also leaving behind numerous friends who she cherished.
The family will be present on Tuesday, October 26, 2021, from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the PIETSZAK FUNERAL HOME, 2400 William Street (near Harlem) where a Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday at 10 AM.
Her entombment will follow at St. Adalbert Cemetery, in Lancaster, New York.
Flowers are gratefully declined.
