At age 87, a retired City of Buffalo Police Officer and Navy Veteran of WW II.

Dinny was the beloved husband of Violet L. Swain (nee Eikenburg) and devoted father of Sandra (Gary) Wilson and Susan (Michael) Wiszka.

A loving grandfather of five and great grandfather of six, he was the son of the late Sarah (neeDecker) and late Vincent Swain. The dearest brother of Albert (Thelma) Swain, Erwin (Claire) Swain and Naomi (late Gordon) Senear. Dear brother-in-law of Robert (Shirley) Eikenburg and Dolores (late Edward) Wozniak. He was also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Family will be present for visitation on Thursday from 3-8 PM at the PIETSZAK FUNERAL HOME, 2400 William St. (near Harlem) where services will be held Friday at 10 AM.

Interment and Military Honors will follow in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery in West Seneca, NY.
