Krol
April 17, 1926 – August 1, 2019
The former Co-Owner of Krol's Deli, with his late sister, Vicky, on 767 South Division St, in Buffalo, New York, Henry Krol, passed away at Elderwood of Cheektowaga, at the age of 93.
Henry served in the US Army during World War II and was one of the few who met the Russian Army in Czechoslovakia in May 1945. He was a Light Tank Crewman in the Campaign thru Central Europe and a recipient of the American Campaign Medal, EAME Campaign Medal, the World War II Victory Medal, and was a Life Member of the Adam Plewacki Post No.799 and Life Member of the SS. Peter & Paul Athletic Club.
He also enjoyed bird watching, playing Bingo and Bar-hopping with friends, to keep up on the neighborhood Social Happenings.
The beloved husband of the late Dorothy A. (nee Klepas) Krol and dearest brother of the late Julia Krol , late Victoria Krol, late Caroline (late Joseph) Tatko, late Florence (late William) Lawicki, and late Antoinette (late Walter) Mohalski. He was also survived by several nieces, nephews, and many friends.
The family will be present on Sunday from 1-5 PM at the PIETSZAK FUNERAL HOME, 2400 William Street (near Harlem.)
Relatives and friends are invited to assemble for a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Philip the Apostle Church, located at 950 Losson Road, in Cheektowaga, New York 14227 on Monday at 10 AM.
Interment will follow at St. Stanislaus Cemetery, in Cheektowaga, New York.
