Irene D. Glowacki, née Lencicki, who touched the hearts of all who knew her, passed away peacefully on April 12, 2026. Born on September 28, 1934, in Buffalo, NY to Charlotte and Constanty Lencicki, Irene’s life was a testament to love, devotion, and unwavering strength.
Irene was the beloved wife of the late Norman “Pete” Glowacki. Her role as a devoted mother was central to her identity—she nurtured and guided her daughters with boundless love and care. She is survived by her children: Darlene (late Richard P.) Kowalski, Noreen (Dennis) Mavromatis, Charlene (John “Jack”) Birner, and Helene (Jay) Bolibrzuch. Irene’s influence extended tenderly into the lives of her grandchildren, Shannon Kowalski, Richard J. Kowalski, Isabella Bolibrzuch and Jacob Bolibrzuch, all of whom hold her memory dear.
Family was Irene’s anchor. She was the dearest sister to Dorothy (late William) Kuminski and James (late Maryann) Nowak, and predeceased by her siblings and their spouses Stanley Lencicki PFC, Hattie (Frank) Bochenski, Helen (Norbert) Wojciechowski, Ronald Lencicki, Henry (Linda) Nowak, Adam Lencicki, Maryanne Lencicki, Dolores Lencicki, and Patricia Pollaro.
Irene is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins who continue to honor her legacy.
Friends and relatives are invited to gather in celebration and remembrance at a Mass of Christian Burial held at St. Adalbert's Basilica, located at 212 Stanislaus Street, on Wednesday, April 15, 2026 at 10 AM.
Burial will take place at St. Stanislaus Cemetery in Cheektowaga, NY.
Irene’s life was a testament to enduring love, steadfast faith, and the simple, beautiful power of caring for others. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
