The former Irene R. Podyma, the daughter of the late Rose (nee Pikul) and late Walter Podyma, passed away peacefully at Fr. Baker Manor Skilled Nursing Facility, in Orchard Park, NY, at the age of 96. In her younger years Irene was active with the St. Josaphat Parish Seniors group, Bingo and the VFW Fulara Bros Post 4734 Auxilliary, as well as several other groups and organizations.

Irene was the beloved wife of the late Joseph F. Mazurkiewicz who predeceased her in in 2005 and devoted mother of Paul (Carol) Mazurkiewicz and Diana (Matthew) Bartochowski.

A Loving grandmother of Paul (Deana) Mazurkiewicz, Jr., Renee (Mark) Schiek, Donna (John) Cork and

Rae Marie (Toby) Nagel and fond great grandmother of Ava, Timothy, Daniel, Caitlin, Kaylee, Ben and Quinn.

Family will be present on Friday from 4-8 PM at the PIETSZAK FUNERAL HOME, 2400 William Street (near Harlem) . Family and friends are invited to assemble for a Mass of Christian Burial Saturday at St. Josaphat Parish Saturday at 9:30 AM .

Burial will follow at St. Matthew's Cemetery, West Seneca, NY
