Irene Theresa was born on Monday, February 7, 1932 to Felicia (nee Wiencek) and George Szuba in Buffalo, New York.
Irene was a devoted homemaker and the heart of her family, entered into eternal rest peacefully surrounded by family on Tuesday, January 6, 2026. Irene was the beloved wife of the late Oliver J. Musilli and will be remembered for the steadfast love, strength, and warmth she gave so generously throughout her life.
Above all else, Irene cherished her family. She was a devoted mother of Paul (Cindy) Musilli, Carl (Bonnie) Musilli and Robert (Barbara) Musilli, Lori (Bill) Horner, and Marianne (Jeff) VanSplunder.
She was a loving grandmother of Sarah (Bob) Poltis, Julie (Joe) Dennis, Lisa (Andy) Townsell, Michael Musilli, Aimee (Eric) Jakubowski, Adam Musilli, Christopher (Kimberly) Musilli, Anthony (Katelyn) Musilli, Alicia (Gregory) Delecki, Ariana (Jordan) Chaires, Olivia Musilli, Marybeth (Evan) Krohl, Peter Musilli, Christina Musilli, Maria Musilli, Gianna Musilli, Felicia Musilli, Sarah Horner, and Ryan Horner. She was also the fond great-grandmother of Noah, Onaleigh, Maximillian, Taryn, Leo, Esme, Kamila, River, Forrest, Josie, Miles, Emely, Oliver, and Cooper, each of whom brought her immense joy and pride.
Irene was the dearest sister of the late Christine Szuba and the late Richard (Eleanor Marzolf) Szuba, and sister-in-law of the late Mary (late Larry) Wingate. Her presence, guidance, and quiet faith left a lasting mark on all who were blessed to know her, and her memory will remain a source of comfort and strength to her family and friends.
The Musilli Family will be present on Friday, January 9th, from 3–5 PM and 6–8 PM at Pietszak Funeral Home, 2400 William Street, near Harlem Road.
Relatives and friends are invited to assemble for a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady Help of Christians Chapel, 4125 Union Road at the corner of Genesee St, on Saturday, January 10th, at 10 AM. Please assemble at the Chapel.
Burial will follow at Our Lady Help of Christians Cemetery, Cheektowaga, New York.
Irene's family is grateful for the love, prayers, and support offered during this time, and they invite all who knew her to remember her with the same kindness and devotion she showed to others throughout her life.
