James passed away peacefully on September 27, 2018 at Hospice Buffalo at the age of 55 years, 7 months and 30 days.  He was a dedicated repairman at Custom Canvas in Buffalo, New York.

James was a beloved son born to Dolores (nee Spahn) and the late Edward Monica Sr. on Monday, January 28, 1963. He was a devoted brother of Carol Young, Donald Monica, Joseph (Valarie Szpara) Monica, Katherine (Timothy Nicpon) Monica, late Edward Monica Jr., and late Anthony Monica. Also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Family will be present on Monday, October 1st from 9 AM to 11 AM at the PIETSZAK FUNERAL HOME, at 2400 William Street, near Harlem Road.
