James T. Tomaka, was a US Army Veteran of the Vietnam War and recipient of the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with 2 Stars, Vietnam Campaign Medal with 60 Device, Army Commendation Medal, Air Medal and Combat Infantry Badge. He passed away peacefully at the Buffalo Veterans Administration Buffalo Regional Hospital at the age of 68. A former Carpenter at Frontier Lumber Co, in Buffalo, New York, Jim was predeceased by his parents the late Helen Witkowski and late Teddy Tomaka.

He was the devoted father of Victoria (Jason) Zurek. dearest brother of Barbara (Joel) Huber, Lucille (Paul) Ward, Elizabeth (Pat Gentile) Hassett, Linda (late Edward) Petko and Lynne (David) Lystad and was also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.

Memorials are preferred to Erie County SPCA.
