At the age of 83, the former Jaroslawa Maroczkanycz, passed away peacefully at home on December 7, 2014. Besides being a Mother and homemaker, she formerly worked at Fibron Products, in Buffalo, NY, as a Handle Shaper, for several years. Fibron Products manufactured laminated wood for the cutlery and hardware industries. During its over 50 year history, Fibron supplied millions of knife handles to top US manufactures that included W. R. Case, Camillus Cutlery, Buck Knives and Western Cutlery.
Jaroslawa was the beloved wife of the late Paul Bobenczyk and devoted mother of Maria (Peter) Rich, Paul Bobenczyk, Diane (Paul) Shepard and Emily Bobenczyk.
She was the loving grandmother of Peter, Andrea (Michael) Cavanaugh, Kayleigh, Lauren and Tyler and dearest sister of Emil (Vera) Marc and William "Fred" (Nadia) Marc. She was also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
Family will be present on Thursday from 4 to 8 PM at the PIETSZAK FUNERAL HOME, 2400 William St. (near Harlem) where a Panachyda Service will be held Thursday Evening at 7 PM.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Liturgy at St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church (Fillmore at Oneida St.) on Friday morning at 10 AM.
Burial will follow at St. Matthew's Cemetery, West Seneca, NY.
