At the age of 90, the former Jean Marie Poppenberg was a receptionist at Hair Crafter in Cheektowaga, New York.

Jean was the former wife of Vincent C. Serafini.  Beloved mother of Vincent J. (Babs) Serafini, Debbie (Paul) Wolcott, Dale Serafini and the late Jeannie Serafini.

Loving grandmother of Joel Serafini, Anitra (Al) Zack, Adam (Danielle) Wolcott, Jeremy (Nicole) Wolcott, Heather (Andrew) Sipf, Stephanie (John) Cellino, Katherine Van Remmen and Jenna Van Remmen.

Fond great grandmother of Austin Wolcott, Mason Wolcott, Cayden Sipf, Reece Sipf, Amelia Wolcott, Adeline Wolcott, Lilianna Serafini, Cara Zack and Gianna Zack.

Jean was a devoted daughter of the late Joseph and Hilda Poppenberg.

Dearest sister of Shirley (Russ) Day.

A dear friend of 75 years to Agnes Cox.

Jean is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather for a Celebration of Jean's Life at the PIETSZAK FUNERAL HOME, 2400 William (near Harlem) Saturday August 4, 2018 from 10 AM -11 AM where a funeral service will follow at 11 AM .

Inurnment will take place at Mount Calvary Cemetery, Cheektowaga, New York.
