Obituary

For 43 years, Joan was the heart and soul of Brownies Tavern, where she welcomed everyone with a smile and made them feel at home. Her families tavern was more than a business; it was a gathering place filled with laughter and stories, a true testament to her generous spirit and dedication.

Joan was a cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend who touched the lives of many with her warmth and kindness. Her family was her pride and joy; she was the beloved mother of Jackie (Mark) Stephen, a devoted grandmother of Kara (Robert) Lemanski and Zachary Stephen, and a loving great-grandmother of Tia Lemanski and Jordan Lemanski. Joan's family extended beyond her immediate relatives, as she was also a dearest sister to her late brother Gerald (Eileen) Slisz. Joan's legacy is carried on by the many nieces, nephews, and cousins who admired her strength and compassion.

Family will be present Friday, January 9th from  8AM - 9:45AM at the PIETSZAK FUNERAL HOME, 2400 William St. Cheektowaga, NY followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Josaphat Parish corner of William and Peoria Streets at 10 AM.

Her memory will remain alive in the hearts of those who knew her. She will be remembered for her unwavering love for her family, her commitment to her work, and her ability to bring people together. We invite you to honor her memory by sharing a picture in our online Photo Album or a favorite memory in our Guest Book on the Tribute page. Through these memories, her enduring spirit will continue to inspire and uplift us all.
