At the age of 82, a cherished daughter of the late Anna (nee Witczak) and the late Peter Pittner Sr.

Beloved wife of the late Donald Szalasny Sr.

Devoted mother of Donald Szalasny Jr., Linda (Gregory) Goulding, Denise (Roland) Pikuzinski, Julie Duk and the late Peter Szalasny. Dear mother-in-law of Thomas Duk.

Loving grandmother of Kenneth (Ashley) Goulding, Jonathan (Carly) Goulding, Kyle Duk, Trevor Duk, Garrett Duk and Zachary Pikuzinski.

Fond sister of Theresa (Edwin) Kolasny, Patricia (late Larry Wheeler) and the late Peter (Bonnie) Pittner Jr.

Joan is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Family will be present Thursday, November 21, 2024 from 3-7 PM at the PIETSZAK FUNERAL HOME, 2400 William Street (near Harlem).

Relatives and friends are invited to assemble for a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Josaphat Church (William at Peoria Ave.) Friday at 10 AM.

Burial will take place at St. Matthew Cemetery in West Seneca, NY.
