A retired Tuck Pointer, John L. Gruber III, passed away at Garden Gate Health Care Facility, in Cheektowaga, New York, at the age of 71.

John was the beloved husband of Mary Ann (nee Ashford) Gruber and father of Anna (George) Misener and Carrie Lynn Gruber.

Proud grandfather of Emma Misener and devoted son of the late Gloria M. Moran and late John L. Gruber II.

He was also survived by several extended families, dear friends and his loving furry companion, Oso.

The family will gather to receive friends and Celebrate John's Life, on Thursday from 6-8 PM at PIETSZAK FUNERAL HOME, 2400 William St., Cheektowaga NY.

Burial will be held privately, at the convenience of the family.
