IN LOVING MEMORY OF
John F.
Hereth
September 14, 1957 – May 28, 2024
On May 28, 2024, at the age of 66, John was received into the arms of the Lord. He passed away peacefully at home after his valiant battle with cancer for almost two years.
John is pre-deceased by his parents Joan (nee Czaja) and Robert Hereth. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 36 years, Vera (nee Katrij) and his children Michael (Jeanna) Hereth and Christopher (Janine) Hereth. John is the dearest brother of Margaret (Tom) Wenzka, David (Laura Campbell) Hereth, Mark (Jill) Hereth and late Donald (Diane) Hereth. He is also survived by his loving nieces, nephews and cousins.
John is a retiree from Frito-Lay where he worked as a Sales Associate for many years. He served his country in the United States Navy from 1975 - 1979, spending time overseas in Japan and Guam. John was an avid deer hunter, and this was his favorite hobby by far. Every fall he looked forward to spending time hunting at our cabin in Machias. He really loved the sport itself, enjoyed spending time in the woods and also enjoyed sharing memories and laughs with his fellow hunters. John also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, who will always carry his memory in their hearts.
We are very appreciative of the loving care provided by Hospice Team 6 with Dr. O. Our heartfelt thanks to Bailey and Chris and all those who helped John with their compassionate care.
