A retired Mechanical Assistant in the Plumbing and Sheet Metal Shops at the State University of New York at Buffalo, in Amherst, New York, John W. Kerruish, passed away after a short stay at Buffalo General Hospital, in Buffalo, New York, at the age of 83.

John was Honorably Discharged from the US Army after serving as an Ammo Technician from 1957 to 1960.  He enjoyed his retirement years, which allowed him time to spend with his family especially his grandchildren. He also always looked forward to being able to put back a "Cold One" with family and friends.

He was the beloved husband of Sandra (nee Shugarts) Kerruish and the late Kathleen (nee Abrams) Kerruish.

The devoted father of John (Sarah) Kerruish II, Robert Kerruish, Wendy (Ron) Scull, John Shugarts, and Blaine (Terri) Shugarts.

John was also the proud grandfather of Lauris, Walter, Tim, Tyler, and Jordan.

The dearest son of the late Catherine (nee Yahrstorfer) Kerruish and late Kenneth Kerruish and dear brother of late Kenneth Kerruish.

He was also survived by several, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Due to the Covid-19 restrictions, his services are being held privately by his family.
