John Robert was born on Thursday, May 7, 1942 to Irene and Sigmund Palkowski in Buffalo, New York. He was a proud US Army Veteran, and worked as a mail clerk for the United States Postal Service.  He loved fishing, playing pickleball and was an avid Atlanta Braves Fan.

John was the beloved husband of Debbie M. (nee Krajewski). The devoted father of Danielle (Carlos) Gonzalez, Jeffrey (Lauren) Palkowski, Katie (John) Lawler and Patrick "PJ" (Justine) Palkowski.  Loving grandfather of Nicholas, Meagan, Tripp, Sarah Anne, Eleanor, August and Nora. A fond great grandfather of Adrianna.  Dearest brother of Grace (late Alfred) Pietrzak, Ronald (late Faye) Palkowski, Rita (Anthony) Ricigliano, James (late Diana) Palkowski, Julie (Gary) Hart, late Richard (late Sandy) Palkowski and the late Carol Kania.  Dearest brother-in-law of David (Sandy) Kania, Donald (Cindy) Krajewski, Cindy (Robert) Gerlach, James (late Linda) Pilarski, Edward (Ann) Krajewski, Ann (Don Staubitz) Krajewski and Lou Ann (Paul) Robertson.  He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and friends.

Family will be present on Tuesday, May 24th from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the PIETSZAK FUNERAL HOME, at 2400 William Street, near Harlem Road where services will be held on Wednesday at 8:45 AM and at St. Vincent de Paul RC Church at 10 AM.

Interment will follow at St. Adalbert's Cemetery, Lancaster, New York.
