Obituary

A retired Foreman, with over 30 years of service for the Highway Department of the Town of Cheektowaga, John Wolfe, passed away at Hospice Buffalo, in Cheektowaga, New York, at the age of 67. John was an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed hunting and fishing and especially the camping portion, being able to sit by the campfire and enjoying the fellowship of his camping buddies and notably his best buddy, Mr. Jim Beam. He was also a member of the Holland Rod & Gun Club where he excelled at Trap shooting. He also savored the times he was sitting around the home fire-pit and spending quality time with his family especially his grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

John was the beloved husband of Lorraine (nee Zimpfer) Wolfe and devoted father of Jason (Christina Menchio) Wolfe, Mark Wolfe, and Nicole (Jon) LaBelle.

He was the loving grandfather of Anthony, Nicholas, and Olivia.

The dearest brother of Diane Weaver, Donna (Steve) Paveljack, and the late Jeff (Brookes) Wolfe.

John was the endeared son-in-law of Irma (late Robert) Zimpfer and brother-in-law of Michael (late Linda) Zimpfer, Betty (Allen) Ferro, Mary (late Fred) Reimer, Elaine Loos, Judy Zimpfer, Yvonne (Don) Feller, and late Bob (Pat) Zimpfer.

He was the adored uncle of Christine (Dave) Lisiecki, Michael (Danette) Weaver, Ken (Eiko) Fisher, Jennifer and Allison Zimpfer, and loved great-uncle of Stephanie, Kaitlyn, Joshua, and Sean.
