At the age of 68, a former Mail Carrier at the US Post Office in Cheektowaga, NY. John was a Vietnam Army veteran and member of the VFW Joseph Hriczko Post 6245.

A loving son to the late Martha Kaczmarski and Thomas Zawada.

Beloved husband of Christine (nee Buziak) Zawada.

Devoted father of Joseph (Betty) Zawada and Jeffrey (Shannon) Zawada.

Grandfather of Jack, Bradley, Jonathan, Jayden and Harrison.

Brother of Theresa Sitarski and also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Family will be present Tuesday 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the PIETSZAK FUNERAL HOME, 2400 William St. (near Harlem) where services will be held Wednesday at 9:15 AM and at Infant of Prague Church at 10 AM.
