Joseph B.
Roman
February 15, 1927 – August 9, 2019
An active Eucharistic Minister and member of the Holy Name Society at Resurrection RC Church, Joseph B. Roman passed away at home, at the age of 92.
A Seaman First Class in the US Navy, he served during WWII at the US Navy Training Center, in Sampson, New York, and the Naval Air Station, in Corpus Christi, Texas. After returning from the service, Joseph worked as a Machine Operator at Westinghouse, in Cheektowaga, New York.
He was the beloved husband of late Mary L. (nee Witek) Roman, who predeceased him in November of 2013.
The devoted father of Joan (Dr. Pasquale) Bochiechio, Anthony (Paula) Roman, Robert (Carole) Roman, John (Carrie) Roman, Timothy (Rachel) Roman and loving grandfather of 14 and great-grandfather of 5.
Roman was also survived by many nieces and nephews.
The family will be present on Monday from 4-8 PM at the PIETSZAK FUNERAL HOME, 2400 William St. (near Harlem) where services will be held on Tuesday morning at 8:45 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Resurrection Church RC Church, located at Union and Como Park Boulevard, in Cheektowaga, New York at 9:30 AM.
Entombment will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery, in Lackawanna, New York.
Flowers gratefully declined. Memorials may be made to Meals on Wheels.
