Koszuta
February 27, 1925 – March 30, 2021
A retired machinist, for almost 40 years at Westinghouse, in Cheektowaga, New York, Leonard N. Koszuta passed away at Elderwood Hamburg Health Care Center, in Hamburg, New York, at the age of 96.
A WWII Army Veteran, Leonard enjoyed Golf, the Sabres, and the Buffalo Bills. He was a great Chef and excelled and the art of making Pizza. He is best known for his Famous Caramelized Onion and Mushroom Pizza. Leonard also took pride in his Lawnscaping techniques, always owning the best-manicured Lawn on the block.
Leonard was the best friend and soulmate, to his beloved wife, Frances (Nowicki) Koszuta.
A devoted father of Ronald (Jacqueline Rance) Koszuta and Karen (George) Gorski.
He was born on Friday, February 27, 1925, to the late Pauline and Stanley Koszuta, in Buffalo, New York, and was the dear brother of the late Edmund (Elsie) Kosuta and late Esther (late Ed) Shlenker.
He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
The family will be present for visitation on Friday, April 2nd, 2021, from 4-7 PM at the PIETSZAK FUNERAL HOME at 2400 William Street, near Harlem Road.
Relatives and friends are invited to assemble for a Blessing at St. Josaphat Parish, located on William at Peoria Avenue on, Saturday, April 3rd, 2021 at 9 AM. Military Honors will take place at that time.
All are also invited to attend a Memorial Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, April 5th, 2021 at St. Josaphat Parish at 9 AM.
Burial will take place at St. Adalbert's Cemetery in Lancaster, New York.
Face coverings and social distancing will be required at all times during Mr. Koszuta's services. Current capacity restrictions may cause delayed entry.
