Lorraine passed away, leaving behind a legacy of love and dedication. She had previously held the role of Secretary at General Electric, where she was known for her dedication and professionalism.

Lorraine was the beloved wife of the late Eugene A. Gawel and a devoted mother to her children Kenneth (late Diane) Gawel, Kevin (Donna) Gawel, Peter Gawel and Sue (Joseph) Puckhaber. Her legacy continues through her loving grandchildren, Nicole Gawel, Brittany Dunlavey and Jaclyn Dunlavey, and her dear great-grandchild, Cassius Dunlavey. She also leaves behind her dearest nephew, Martin Gawel.

Family will be present to receive friends on Thursday, February 5th, 2026 from 4 to 7 PM at the Pietszak Funeral Home, located at 2400 William St. Cheektowaga, NY 14206, where funeral services will be held on Friday, February 6th, 2026 at 10 AM.

Burial will take place at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Cheektowaga, NY.
