Maria was born on Tuesday, December 1, 1936 to Julia (nee Putas) and Myron Kawa in Buffalo, New York.

Marcia was the beloved wife of late Vernon "Benny" Stachewicz.

A devoted mother of Michael (Denise) Stachewicz, Jeffrey Stachewicz, Julie (Michael) Fronckowiak, and Pamela (Brian) Piotrowski.

Dearest grandmother of Michael Alan (Julie), Michael Henry, Ana, Joshua (Monica), Todd (Alexandra), Jonathan, Abigail (Robert), Tia (fiance Ryan) and Payton. Fond great-grandmother of Eleanor and Eloise.

She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Family will be present on Wednesday, February 8th from 3-7 PM at the Pietszak Funeral Home, 2400 William Street, near Harlem Road, where services will be held on Thursday morning at 9:15 AM and at St. Josaphat Parish at 10 AM.

Burial will follow at St. Matthew's Cemetery, West Seneca, New York.
